Tasha Bell (Equity Manager, Rock County Human Services)

Lanatasha “Tasha” Bell, is the Equity Manager for Rock County Human Services Department. Tasha has dedicated her professional and personal life to serving as an advocate for people from historically underserved populations. Her previous professional roles include Director of Recruitment/Diversity Recruitment, Equity Coordinator and Assistant Director of Upward Bound.

She holds a B.A. degree in Women’s studies and a M.Ed in Higher Education.

Tasha has presented researched educational practices to improve Equity outcomes in Urban School districts. She presented nationally at the Clemson Men of Color conference, College Board Preparate Conference and the Innovative Schools Summit.

Tasha is a Nationally trained facilitator of S.E.E.D. (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity. She is currently the co-advisor for the Beloit Branch N.A.A.C.P. youth council. In addition she is currently a board member of the Community Health Systems board. Previous community involvement includes Advisor for LULAC Youth Council 16008, Vice-President of Beloit LULAC, YWCA of Rock County Board member, Merrill Community Center Board member, Past Chair and Board member of Visit Beloit, Board Member of Women’s fund. Tasha is a member of the Church Of Living Water, in Beloit Wisconsin, where she serves on the trustee board.

Tasha is a firm believer in giving back to the community. She serves as a mentor to the countless children in her community and beyond. Her students know that she will always be listening ear if they need help navigating the world.

Tasha is the proud mother of two sons, Christian and Chase.  Being a mother is the greatest role that she has ever had! Her sons are truly her motivation for everything she does. When she is not discussing sneakers or Fortnite with her sons she enjoys reading and watching lots of movies.
