Janesville, Wisconsin – YWCA Rock County’s Chefs Cookin’ for a Cause brings together restaurants, wineries and bakeries from Rock County and the surrounding areas. This year’s theme is Puttin’ on the Glitz.
Chefs Cookin’ for a Cause will be November 14, 2019 at Janesville Country Club. Doors open at 5 p.m. Tasting begins at 5:30 p.m., with a program to follow.
Attendees will sample some of the best food the area has to offer, as 16 participating chefs and businesses will feature their top appetizers, entrees or desserts in bite-sized portions. This year, we also have two area wineries participating.

The night will also feature live and silent auctions, as well as a 50/50 raffle. The money raised will benefit all five programs offered by YWCA Rock County; Alternatives to Violence Shelter, our transitional living apartments (Transitions), Immigrant Outreach and Racial Justice, CARE House, and Child Care.
“Chefs Cookin’ for a Cause began is 1998 as a way to raise money to build our current domestic violence shelter,” said Jennifer Draz, YWCA Rock County Communications Director. “Since then, Chefs has evolved into one of our largest events, helping fund everything we do here at the YWCA.”
