This unique walk invites participants to walk a mile in women’s shoes to raise awareness and funds for domestic violence victims. The money raised benefits the domestic violence programs at the YWCA.

Schedule of Events on SEPTEMBER 27:
Shoe Fitting & Registration begin at 4:30
Brief Program begins at 5:30
Walk begins around 6:00 followed by a celebration with food trucks, music and award
No need to worry about Dinner because we will have Lady V’s Fun snow Cones & Snacks with food available for purchase. Kids can enjoy a free Bounce House and Gray’s Soda and Beer will also be available for purchase. Picnic Table seating is limited so please bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets.

- Janesville Moose Lodge Fundraiser – Moose Lodge: 418 Milwaukee St. on September 23rd. Open to the public. Doors open at 6pm and music featuring Lance Massey from 7-10pm. Raffles and a silent auction all to benefit the 2023 Walk a Mile Event.
- Hot Dogs in Heels to support the YWCA – WE ARE MOVING!! Let’s celebrate our new office’s Grand Opening together with our event, “HOT DOGS AND HEELS.” Visit us at our new location, 1341 N Wright Road (right next door to our old office!) We will serve a hot dog meal from 11 AM-2 PM on Friday, September 22nd (12PM Ribbon Cutting), and any donation will benefit the Rock County YWCA. Jaysen Jorgensen and his son Jacob are ambassadors for the event and are proud to be participating this year together. - Support YWCA Rock County’s Walk a Mile in Her Shoes at 5 Bar located at 530 E Grand Ave, Beloit, WI 53511. Order the Hibiscus in “Hi Heals” cocktail and a percentage of the funds from this drink will go towards helping support this important walk that raises awareness and funds for domestic violence victims. This exclusive drink will be sold on Wednesday, September 20th, and Thursday, September 21st. $2 off of every drink sold (Drink Price is $11) goes to benefit YWCA Rock County.
