Join YWCA Rock County for a Week Without Violence Events.

Join us October 14-18 at various Week Without Violence events. The events and details are listed below. The events are hosted by YWCA Rock County, Rock County Human Services, Beloit Domestic Survivor Center and the Sexual Assault Recovery Program.  

Domestic Violence Simulator (Oct. 15-18)

These interactive workshops are free and open to the public. The simulation will show what a victim may experience while attempting to break free from a domestic violence situation. There are three workshops to choose from, and are split between Blackhawk Technical College campuses.

Speaker: Growing up in a Household With Domestic Violence (Oct. 18)

Speaker, Teresa Thomas will talk about her experience growing up in a household with domestic violence.

She is also an instructor at UW-Madison and reviews child abuse/neglect cases for Wisconsin. She recently published a book titled “Breakthrough”.
