Quality Child Care
YWCA offers high-quality, affordable child care, serving children and families in Rock County. We provide a nurturing, creative space for children to learn and grow. The YWCA Child Care Program recognizes the benefits of quality care that keeps kids safe, engaged, and enriched. Childcare options & programs include, Pre-K/P4J at the YWCA, Before and After School Care at eleven Janesville schools and two Milton schools, Non-School Days, and Summer Discovery Day Camp.
The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) provides reimbursement to sponsoring organizations for nutritious snacks served to children enrolled in day care and to children in afterschool programs. CACFP guidelines require healthy, nutritious snacks and alternative options for documented allergies/intolerances. Plus, our snacks are included in the weekly fees. Pre-K/P4J (4 year-old Kindergarten)
In collaboration with the Janesville School District, YWCA Rock County is a community partner providing early learning opportunities for children who are four on or before September 1. The program operates Monday-Friday from 8:00-11 am. We also offer an afternoon session from 12:00-3:00 pm.
To enroll in P4J, contact the School District of Janesville at (608) 743-5000.
For families who need care outside the P4J academic hours laid out above, wrap-around care is also available (please call for availability). This service is available from 6:30 a.m. -5 p.m. at our Community Service Center, 1735 S. Washington St., Janesville. -

2 & 3 year-old Full Day Child Care
The YWCA Child Care Program provides a high quality, affordable childcare option for parents and is now expanding our early Childhood Program to offer full day care to children ages 2 and 3. The program provides a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for children. Take advantage of the Fall Introductory rate of $200/week for the 1st year.

Before and After School Care
The YWCA Before and After School Program provides child care for elementary school-age children (ages 4-12) during the school year. The program runs from 6:30 a.m. until school starts and resumes at the close of school until 6:00 p.m.
The Before and After School Program currently operates at many schools in Janesville and Milton including: Consolidated, Adams, Harmony, Harrison, Jefferson, Kennedy, Lincoln, Monroe, Roosevelt, Van Buren and Washington.
Child care funding is accepting through the W-2 Program and the YWCA offers financial assistance to eligible families.Returning Families can register for Fall starting on March 1st with your current ProCare Account. If you have questions regarding enrollment, please contact Teri at 608-752-5445 ext 230. If you are placed on a wait list, you will be contacted via email by the YWCA. Open enrollment for all Families will open on March 11th.

Summer Discovery Day Camp
If you are looking for awesome activities to keep your school-age children busy throughout the summer, we have just what you are looking for! The YWCA Summer Discovery Day Camp is full of fun-filled engaging events and experiences to keep kids occupied throughout the summer. Space is limited and sign up is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Non-School Days
YWCA Rock County provides child care on non-school days on a first-call, first-served basis.
These days include parent-teacher conferences, winter and spring breaks, etc. This state-licensed program is available from 6:30am-6:00pm at the YWCA Community Service Center, 1735 S. Washington St, Janesville.
Activities include: games, arts & crafts, field trips and more
Students bring a sack lunch, but the YWCA provides a morning and afternoon snack. -

Snow Days
If school is canceled, the YWCA Before & After School Child Care program will not operate at the schools. If school is canceled prior to start time, call the YWCA at (608) 752-5445 ext. 107 to check availability for child care. Sign up is on a first-call, first-served basis.
If the YWCA is closed due to severe weather which makes it dangerous for staff to travel, a snow day program will not be offered.
