Racial Equity and Belonging

Immigrants of America, Immigrant Outreach, YWCA Rock County

The YWCA’s Community Immigrant and Refugee Program is committed to serving, educating and assisting the immigrant community on immigration and education issues. Among those most vulnerable to exploitation in our community are immigrant women and their families. Human trafficking, domestic abuse, and discrimination are all major issues affecting local immigrant populations, and vital services are often out of reach for those whose immigration statuses are insecure. At YWCA, we offer legal services to immigrants regardless of their immigration status to ensure vulnerable families are protected.

The YWCA’s Racial Equity and Multicultural Engagement Program is a part of the national movement of more than 200 YWCA’s working to eliminate racism. Our commitment, like our national organization, runs deep. While the YWCA has been working in Rock County since 1922, addressing issues facing women, our mission has been refined to focus on the challenges of racism and civil rights.
