Jeni Lindstorm
Jeni Lindstrom was born in Iowa and moved to Janesville in 1982, where she built a life and career grounded in connection, resilience, and community. Ear1y in her career, she worked in local salons, forming relationships with women who would become lifelong friends, mentors, and a steady source of encouragement and strength.
In 1997, Jeni took a leap of faith and opened Studio 107 in downtown Janesville, despite being told it was a risk. Trusting her vision, she built a thriving business rooted in both creativity and connection. In 2000, alongside her business partner, Grace Spoden, Jeni expanded that vision and cofounded Studio 107 Day Spa. What began as a small partnership grew into a team of 17, eventually filling the second floor of a historic building.
Along the way, Jeni and Grace faced challenges, including being denied a business loan unless their husbands cosigned. Undeterred, they moved forward with the support of their families. Their partnership-once doubted-became a defining part of Jeni's life, a partnership that endured for decades. Built on trust, resilience, and shared vision, Grace stood beside her through every season, demonstrating the strength that can come when women support one another.
In 2004, Jeni further invested in her vision by purchasing the building, deepening her commitment to the downtown community and to the business she helped build.
After many successful years, Studio 107 evolved in 2019 from a shared salon and spa into individually owned, women-led businesses that continue to serve the community today. Jeni remains deeply grateful for a profession centered around women, connection, and the power of working alongside one another.
Inspired by her own experiences, Jeni is now developing "Connect," a group created alongside a trusted friend to support women healing from betrayal trauma and to provide a space for strength, understanding, and growth. She believes no woman should have to walk through life's challenges alone.
Jeni is the proud mother of two children, Kallison (Johnny) of California and Kaylor (Morgan) of Janesville, and looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild this summer. She also enjoys time with her five-year-old Labrador, Opal, who keeps her active and grounded. Jeni believes that when women stand beside one another-through challenge, growth, and change-they create connection, healing, and the courage for every woman to rise.
