Description: Safe Families for Children Rock County Wisconsin is a non-profit organization that works to keep families together and children safe, especially brown and black children who are disproportionately represented in the child welfare system. We connect parents to a network of support through family-like relationships with volunteers. Safe Families for Children provides a chance for parents to get back on their feet before abuse and neglect occur.

Amiee Leavy will moderate a Lunch and Learn discussion with guest Kenda Roman, Safe Families for Children’s Beloit Engagement Coordinator, on the importance of increasing volunteers in Rock County - with a specific emphasis on Beloit. By increasing volunteer support, Safe Families for Children can expand their efforts to prevent child abuse and neglect, reduce the number of children entering the child welfare system, and support and stabilize families in Rock County.
