YWCA Rock County announces recipient of 2021 Corporate Award of Merit Award Recipient

Janesville, Wisconsin – YWCA Rock County’s Board of Directors is thrilled to announce they have selected HealthNet of Rock County as the 2021 Corporate Award of Merit recipient. The award recognizes businesses and organizations in Rock County that work to improve the quality of life in the community. Recipients of this award also serve as role models and support policies, practices and attitudes in the advancement of women.Ian Hedges, Chief Executive Officer for HealthNet of Rock County accompanied by members of his staff and volunteers accepted the nomination on behalf of the organization.“Under the leadership of Ian Hedges, HealthNet by its very mission, is dedicated to free or low-cost health services and education to underserved residents of Rock Co. They serve a diverse clientele and their staffing and leadership are equally diverse, with many women, and women of color, at the helm of program service and delivery. HealthNet is/was an incredible partner during the COVID-19 pandemic with ensuring vaccine access to its patients and Rock Co residents” – Terese Craig, YWCA Rock County Board Member.HealthNet of Rock County, Inc. is dedicated to excellence and innovation in the provision of primary health and dental care and health education, delivered free or at low cost, to enhance the quality of life for the underserved residents of Rock County, Wisconsin. HealthNet of Rock County, Inc. is a free and charitable clinic that opened in 1994 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization through the result of a needs assessment completed by the Salvation Army in 1993. This assessment identified a lack of affordable health care as one of the major problems of Rock County.HealthNet of Rock County along with the 2021 honorees will be honored at the annual Women of Distinction Gala on August 12th, 2021 at the Celtic House at Glen Erin Golf Club.
