YWCA Rock County is thrilled to announce the return of its signature fundraising event, Chef’s Cookin’ for a Cause, on Wednesday, November 20, 2025, at the Janesville Country Club. This year’s event introduces an elegant masquerade theme, promising an enchanting evening of gourmet cuisine, lively auctions and meaningful impact.
One of YWCA Rock County’s largest annual fundraisers, Chef’s Cookin’ for a Cause brings together some of the area’s top chefs to showcase their culinary talents while supporting the organization’s mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. Guests will enjoy tastings from local chefs, a silent auction, live auction, libation pull and more—all with the goal of raising $70,000 in support of YWCA Rock County programs and services.
The highlight of the event will be the signature “Fund the Mission” LIVE auction. This year’s auction will be dedicated to purchasing equipment to create a safe, playful, fun playground for children in the YWCA’s Early Learning Center and Alternatives to Violence (AVP) Shelter. This nurturing space will allow young children to play freely, supporting both early learners and families in shelter.
“Chef’s Cookin’ for a Cause is always a special evening where the community comes together to enjoy incredible food while making a real difference,” said Heidi Deininger, YWCA Rock County Executive Director. “This year’s masquerade theme adds an extra layer of elegance and excitement, and the playground project makes it especially meaningful. Together, we can empower women and provide safe spaces for children to grow and thrive.”
Attendees can look forward to vacation packages along with other exclusive auction items. Guests are encouraged to embrace the masquerade theme with masks and formal attire, making the evening a memorable experience of mystery, gourmet cuisine and community impact.
