The March Courageous Conversation is a continuation of our February conversation, “Parallel Histories: The Underground Railroad and the Klan Next Door; A deep dive into Rock County History.” As we recognize Rock County has a rich racial history engulfed with progress and pushback, we move forward in this conversation to address needs for restorative practices to bring our county together. Ultimately, March’s Courageous Conversation asks the participants, “What does the community need from its leaders and each other to acknowledge the past and move forward in developing an anti-racist county?”
Parking Lot: 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. (Unmoderated Interaction After the Discussion – if needed)
Just to remind us all - the agreements for Courageous Conversations are:
1) stay engaged,
2) experience discomfort,
3) speak your truth, and
4) expect and accept non-closure
